Don't let the ride there dictate what you're going to think of the hotel because trust me the right there is really brutal but it is so so so so so worth it extremely beautiful the hotel itself is exceptional staff are very good I greatly enjoyed it I would show you some of the pictures but apparently there's no way to do that but I'm telling you it's worth it

Rivertrees was a lovely start to our exploration of Tanzania. It is located in Arusha less than a ten minute drive from the town and the National Park gate. Our first ever game drive was organized by the hotel and was very productive and exciting. They also organized transport for us from the airport and to our next property. Mount Meru is a step back in time. The grounds are beautiful and the staff was extremely kind. We needed a late check out and they were wonderful with that. The dinner was delicious. The breakfast leaves with more to desire although they did have an omlet station which was great. There was plenty of hot water for 3 women to take consecutive showers. I would definitely come back and stay.

We had been promised a driver to take us from the airport to the lodge, and he was there waiting in spite of the l-o-n-g entry process and the late hour. And, he is a very good driver, even where the roads were iffy. We were offered a late light supper, which was perfect. In the morning, the manager greeted us with "Come see the mountain. It's the first time in a month!" He led us to a huge deck jutting out over a gorge, and there in front of us was a crystal clear Kilimanjaro. Wow! ...

This property looks as much as a retreat than a lodge. The staff was much courteous, helpful and professional.

Patumu Hotel is well-located near the entrance to Ngorongoro Crater National Park. The hotel is simple with clean rooms and comfortable beds, but a bit dimly lit. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful in directing me to local services. There was ample parking and a restaurant.

I loved the garden atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was large and clean. Great food as well!

Everything is wonderful. Rustic artistic decor and grounds, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and beautiful views. Great food. Filtered water. A wonderful perch high above one of the great cities in Tanzania. Views of city and Mt Kilimanjaro (on clear day). Good WiFi. No complaints.

Absolutely the best hotel I’ve stayed at. I spend generally half the year in hotels for business and this is hands down one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are large, spacious, and luxurious, but it’s the friendly staff that make this lodge/hotel truly a great establishment. I generally don’t leave reviews but this hotel went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND our expectations.
