We had a really great time. Staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations for restaurants. Location was super convenient and close to downtown while still having a lot of local cafes and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

I liked the location. It was close to the areas we wanted to explore. Walking to and from the hotel was easy. It was extremely hot and with no air conditioning sleeping was tough. My room was small and the bathroom sink was in a difficult position. With the shelf just above the faucet. The water from the shower would wet much of the bathroom floor so using the bath mat towel is a must. At least there was a fan in the room to help move air during the night. The stairs to get to my room on the second floor are extremely steep and the treads are narrow so carrying luggage was a challenge. The front desk staff was great and very friendly and helpful. I was not bugged by cleaning staff on checkout day which is really nice. Overall I was satisfied with the Alp Hotel and would recommend it to people on a budget.

We appreciated the location and convenience of Alp Hotel. The staff was cordial and knowledgeable. Our room was small but this was not a concern for us as we spent the days and evenings exploring Amsterdam. The room and bathroom were clean. Housekeeping was available for those that needed it. We would stay here again without hesitation.

El hotel está muy bien, super limpio, buena ubicación. Cerca de todo, el Trolebus pasa enfrente del hotel. La atención en la Recepción de Tajir super amable, nos dio toda la información necesaria, nos apoyó varias veces, igual que otra persona joven que tambien estaba en recepción. Platicamos con Tajir y nos dio varios consejos sobre la ciudad. Sin embargo el señor mayor (50 años) me pareció una persona injusta y abusiva. Poco amable con los clientes. Si regresaría al hotel, con la anotación y el cuidado del señor de recepción.

This is a boutique hotel. We passed one night in the larger 2 bed room. It was an excellent room. There were nice little touches. To great coffee shops around the corner for breakfast.

Fantastic Amsterdam Experience

My girlfriend and I were only here for 1 night. Knowing that we would not be in the hotel room a lot, we wanted an authentic European experience. The rooms were quite small, but the staff and the location were excellent. The front desk recommended we take public transportation from the Schiphol airport and gave us all the information needed we needed to get there without a hitch. When we arrived, the staff provided valuable insights on where/how we could make the most of our limited time, including neighborhoods/restaurants/markets/tourist attractions. I needed to sign-in to a virtual meeting which I took in the communal back patio which was really quite nice and quiet. (Bonus points for having great Wi-Fi coverage there as well!) We will be back to Amsterdam in the near future and when we do, the Alp Hotel will definitely be on our list.

I recommend the larger rooms at the back of the hotel. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful. A very walkable location with tons of dining options within a 10min radius.

Hotel is well run and clean but we were given a ridiculously tiny room for two people, not at all as in the photos. Room should at most be considered a small single room at a much lower cost than we had to pay.
