"The resort was great. Room was clean but decorative pillows on the bed could have been cleaner. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food at buffet and snack options were plentiful and always tasted good. Quite a few vegetarian options, never left feeling hungry. We had a negative experience at the Italian à la cart where we waited a long time and the server brought us our dessert before our dinner, then eventually after bringing the dinner never returned with dessert. We went to the buffet for dessert instead. The food that we did have at the à la carte was still pretty good. This was a rare experience of poor service and we didn’t let it affect our enjoyment. Drinks were good and we had no problem with the bar rack alcohol quality. New welcome cocktail served at every meal. Coffee was good. Trail next to the resort that leads to Bayahibe is fun, free shuttle bus to Dominicus beach was great. Pools at the resort were lovely too. Crabs at the wall of the sea around sunset were lovely. A decent amount of entertainment with the resort becoming quieter around 11pm felt just right. This might not be your typical *spring breakers* resort and for us that was great. All in all we felt good about our stay here and may someday return. "
