Although this is noted down as 4 star its probably more 3 star and hotel and grounds require some upgrading. Most disappointing for us was the outdoor pool which was dirty and not fit to swim in. Last year when we stayed the pool was very clean and inviting. We used the SPA inside this year which was good although very warm."

"Wonderful traditional hotel in a stunning part of the Picos de Europa. Getting there is an event in itself; after you've passed through magnificent scenery, you're faced with a winding road to the top of the mountain, passing through two tunnels.
Once there, you're on the edge of a charming village, and although the hosts speak little English, we both got by with the help of Google Translate! The hosts do everything they can to make you feel welcome and at the heart of a traditional Spanish home.
Excellent walking from the hotel, stunning views and amazing home-cooked local food. Delicious breakfasts and evening meals – make sure you experience the restaurant.
