"The Printmakers Inn (Button Suite) is a beautiful property with lots of historic charm, and I appreciated the character of a building that dates back to the 1800s. However, there were a few issues that affected our stay.
As soon as we walked through the door, there was a strong musty smell. The rug in the living room was also quite worn, and I nearly tripped on it, which was concerning from a safety standpoint.
My biggest issue was the noise on Thursday night. There was work being done in the suite directly above us, and we could hear pounding and a significant amount of noise while we were trying to enjoy our stay. I completely understand that older properties need maintenance and renovations, but this type of work should be scheduled when guests are not staying in the surrounding suites, especially during the evening.
Overall, the property is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but the musty smell, worn rug, and nighttime construction noise took away from the experience. With better attention to maintenance and consideration for guests when scheduling work, the stay could have been much more enjoyable."
