「My colleagues who stayed there were appalled at the state of this place . The room was filthy and look at the state of the shower screen - covered in Algae . The pictures on Hotels.com look good but probably taken about 10 years ago when the place was last cleaned . The boys were given another room but it was just as bad so they checked out without staying there at all. 」

「First room they sent us to hadn’t been made up and stunk. No service throughout 4 night stay. No bar. No restaurant. Lift needs attention. No accessibility. Decor old and tatty. This was our second stay and gone downhill. Won’t be staying again. Expensive for facilities you got. Plus side, our one encounter with staff was pleasant and helpful. 」

「Beautiful property, lovely room, and great staff. Peter was an absolute treasure on check-out, made us feel so welcome and made us feel right at home. I loved the cosy, family feeling of staying at Fritton. The noise however was too loud, and we got woken up by our neighbours leaving for breakfast. Our room (Lady Scott) is above an entrance and each time the door slammed shut the room shook, to the point it woke us up. I do feel that the sole purpose when paying to stay somewhere, sleep quality...

「We were given room 4, apparently it has an Infamous reputation as the lad who looks after the hotel called a few hours before check-in to ask if we wanted to find alternative accommodation due to the amount of complaints they have about this room. Unfortunately Hotels.com were not especially helpful in changing our booking and we were about to set off so opted to just keep the room. It is at the top of the hotel, 4 flight of stairs up. There is no bathroom, you have to share the one on the 2nd...
