「Lovely hotel right next to the beach. Room was spacious and clean. Liked the fact that there was a communal kitchen with coffee and tea. There are a number of restaurants close by and the town centre is only a few minutes away 」

「I liked how close the property was to downtown. I could walk to the local shops and restaurants. The only thing that I was not happy about was that I inquired as to why some of the tv channels wouldn’t work and the attendant told me she would have someone come and check on it and it was never resolved. 」

「The Hotel Illa is a good budget place in Angra. The rooms were cleaned each day and a good basic breakfast is provided. It is right in the heart of the Old town and close to the Marina. The staff were great! The negatives: No parking, needs some maintenance (peeling paint, rough closing doors etc) Can also be noisy in the mornings with pigeons and sliding furniture and banging doors. Still a good choice if you are not looking a 5*」
