"The Hotel des Arts offers excellent value for money in a very affordable, no-frills package. The hotel is in a rather beautiful old building in the heart of Montpellier, close to the station, the Comedie area and dozens of narrow streets containing many bars, shops, restaurants and cafes. The youthful staff are friendly, helpful to a fault, knowledgeable and speak excellent English. Our room was clean, though small and basic, with no tea and coffee making facilities.. "Very basic accommodation but perfect for us for one night. Close supermarket, parking, restaurants across the road from the beach. Nice little balcony. We didn’t have the breakfast but it looked great on the terrace. "

"I really loved being so close to the beach.. However I didn’t realize how far away it was from any shops or restaurants or entertainment… only 1 restaurant open within walking distance… and a LONG way from Montpellier… it was my error it not paying more attention to this fact. The property was wonderful & my room superb, with a perfect view of the ocean. Great time for a romantic getaway, not quite as much fun for a single traveller."

"One of the rooms I rented was not up to the standard represented on the hotel website. The room was dark & extremely small. The hotel did move us to another room for the next night & all was well. "

"No elevator, doors making noise all time, code often does not work and lock you outside, some troublesome people living here and purposely making noise with doors every a few minutes, property has very bad attitudes and never responded to messages."
