「Newly opened property, still not at full operation, but I can only imagine how fine a hotel this will be after the grand opening. Little touches of service make this place special. Complimentary airport transfer, welcome drink and towelette, turn down service with local sweets, no charge for late check out. The staff know your name and always greet you with a smile. 「By far, OYO Rockssar was the best 2-star hotel we experienced in this 3 week trip in the Philippines from Iloilo to Cebu (OYO in Moalboal cancelled on us last minute so not impressed =(), to Panglao, Coron then back to Manila. It was clean, simple setup, spacious, airconditioning worked and right at the heart of the city, close to the airport for transfers, staff were very helpful with needs re comforts esp when we arrived on a brownout on 40 degree heat. 「Overall it was a good experience. Excellent customer service. My only concern is the road going inside. For guests that has a car, it’s workable. With backpackers, you have to have a contact of someone to pick you up specially during rainy days. We had a friend that has a tricycle that can pick us up. 」

「Relaxing places 」

「I wanted to stay one night in PP just to dine at KaLui. This may have been a poor choice. But it was survivable. They tried to stick me with a bill for the breakfast and I said the place is a bed and breakfast. It includes breakfast. Anyways, there isn’t much going on nearby anyway. The ladies were nice enough. Just don’t expect much other than 70’s kitsch. 」

「The owners made you feel like family. The food at every meal at different times if the day is the best we have ever had at a B&B. The property and cittages are adorable and very updated with amenities. A one night stay (or longer) is an absolute MUST for any traveler passing this way.」

「It was good, only downfall we didn’t have electricity for awhile but that stuff happens, but overall the staff was super friendly gave us whatever we needed or requested. I would definitely recommend this place for future vacations!」

My flight got in late, so I arrived at 10:40 in the evening to discover that my room did not have a toilet or shower in the room… I was expected to use a communal bathroom out in the hallway. Of course, none of this was mentioned in the description of the property. The owner said that she offered to change my room, but there was confusion on that issue. In any event, I checked out the next morning, and walked away from my last two...

「I enjoyed my time with the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Thank you for the toothbrush. I might suggest a small shampoo be provided seeing that an adequate amount or size cannot be brought aboard the aircraft if we only have a carry on bag. Very good place to stay. Next to the boardwalk is nice. 」
