"We enjoyed our stay, unfortunately we booked this hotel for the rooftop pool which ended up being closed after the freak storm which ripped through downtown the day before our arrival, while this was not the fault of the hotel it all was just disappointing as it was a very hot weekend in Houston. The staff are lovely and kept us supplied with nice as there are no fridges in the rooms which made it hard as it was very hot snd we couldn’t even bring back some water or sodas and keep them cold. "I didnt like how staff assumed i was familiar with the area and with how things work. Another guest at the hotel had to show me how to use the elevator using a room key card. He also explained how i would need it to get back into the hotel. No one gave us a map/diagram of the area or of the hotel. It wasnt until we were leaving that we found out it had an indoor pool on a different floor. I had to ask the Concierge for an area map and ask questions about the area. "I really like the location of this hotel. Walking distance to a major park and museums. It is apparently very dog friendly because I saw a lot of dogs during my stay. The only reason I did not give the property 5 starts is because I found the decor to be sort of weird. It’s dark and I’m not sure the vibe they are going for. Maybe Alice in Wonderland meets old Hollywood meets weird art on the walls. But to each their own. "
