"I didnt like how staff assumed i was familiar with the area and with how things work. Another guest at the hotel had to show me how to use the elevator using a room key card. He also explained how i would need it to get back into the hotel. No one gave us a map/diagram of the area or of the hotel. It wasnt until we were leaving that we found out it had an indoor pool on a different floor. I had to ask the Concierge for an area map and ask questions about the area. "What a brilliant hotel!!! The staff were outstanding! My room was huge and extremely well-equipped (“full kitchen” literally means a full kitchen…!). The included breakfast was plentiful and the breakfast room was big enough to accommodate many people. I loved everything about this hotel! Being downtown, homelessness in the area is evident, but the hotel is secure. The area is walkable. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Houston. As I said, the staff were amazing and are a true asset to the hotel....
