「No POOL! На мой вопрос - а где же бассейн? Был дан идиотский ответ - вон там море, там и купайтесь! Море необорудованное, все очень запущенное, лежаков мало и они обычно поломанные, нормальный есть только один. За кондей требуется доп/оплата 3000 рупий. Холодильника в номере стандарт нет, но хоть разрешили пользоваться холодильником в столовой, но часто его отключали чтобы включить вентилятор. В целом персонал старается помочь, однако руководство недружелюбно. Больше чем на 1 ночь...

「This was our second stay at Asian Jewel and it was every bit as enjoyable as the first. Our room (Jasmine) had a direct panoramic view of Bird Lake and we saw many different species of birds as well as small animals including chipmunks, water monitors, geckos (and a cobra one one day but soon banished by the staff...). 「Lovely location inside the Fort - fabulous breakfast each morning and super friendly staff. If you need any help make sure you ask prior to 6pm each day as Hotel staff go home and only restaurant staff left to help, we didnt require and staff let us know in advance.」

「There are 3 hotels in the Somerset group. This is away from the beach. Its up a very steep narrow concrete road. Its dark in the night and only 1 vehicle can go up or down this dark narrow road. The hotel staff are really nice. The rooms are a bit dated. The breakfast buffet was a joke as compared to hotels we have stayed in colombo. There was no buffet. Just a plate of fruit and eggs if you asked. Better stay is closer to the beach and somerset has a hotel right on tne beach」

「We had a great stay here and treated our Sri Lankan family. The chef and kitchen and service was phenomenal and the rooms were great. Lot of room. Ensure to enter the number of people you plan to have with you while booking, otherwise you might get surprising surcharges. I checked online and could have gotten the same rate I paid if I entered the right amount of people. The hotel manager was not very pleasant, I guess he saw the Dollar signs in his eyes when he saw a foreigner coming in. I would...

「Great location, easy walk to the beach, a little bit noisy but the noise quietens down by 10pm at this hotel, cannot say the same for the neighbouring bars. Loved the location and swimming in the sea was fantastic which meant not having a pool was fine. Staff are super friendly and made our stay with them all the more enjoyable.」
