Lake Zurich Ski Vacations

The place is not that expensive for Movenpick in Zurich. The reason is simple. It is quite dated and rough. But it was clean, or as clean as it could be with the general condition of the room.

At 8 pm, we waited in a line of about 20 guests to check in. There were only 2 clerks there to assist us. There was a supervisor working on her computer. After about 20 minutes, I pointed out the length of the line. She said she was busy responding to emails, but grudgingly agreed to help the next person in line. We arrived at our room. It was dark with insufficient lights. The television remote batteries were dead. There were no hand towels. The tissue box was empty.

Really lovely hotel with a great atmosphere. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and courteous, and we had a really enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hotel is located about 10 minutes away from Old Town Zurich. We took an uber to get here from Zurich HB. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite facing the pool. The pool was having a huge promoted white party, so the bass and DJ were vibrating the room. However, the music was done at 8pm and we didn't hear anything else after that. The king bed was very comfortable. My son used the couch pull out, which we had to call down 2 times for them to bring up bedding because there was no bedding for it and we had to set it all up. The pool area was nice and we used it twice. My son and I tried the buffet breakfast and was highly disappointed for what I paid (80 swiss franks = $100 usd) for cold, mediocre food. I couldn't believe the price, but I had to feed my 9 year old. After that, we just uber eats or did not eat at the hotel because I was not paying that price daily. You definitely paid for what you pay for here.

Overall it’s a great property… but might be our timing (Street Parade weekend) where it was way too busy

I can't imagine a better stay in Zurich. We walked, used the tram, or electric scooters to explore many wonderful activities---from a long, publicly accessible lake-shore to the old town to the museum. The staff was kind, helpful and as attentive as one could ask for. We loved the swim pass and basket with towels, flip flops, water and a summer read to grab from the front desk, then pop across the street to jump in the lake. And upon return on a hot summer day? Five or six ice-cream flavors from which to choose at the entrance to the hotel. Big windows, french doors and a deep tub all made for a beautiful room. Thank you....

The staff were absolutely amazing!

The hotel is in an excellent location The property is very clean the staff is excellent and very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel 100% nothing was disappointing for me
