North Thailand Ski Vacations

This is a very nice boutique hotel with several added amenities making it a solid 3-4 star experience. Rooms are walkup no elevator so accept help with bags when offered. The pool is a great way to cool off and the rooms themselves are large and beautiful with teak wood and hardwood floors, sliding doors and nice balcony if you can endure the humidity and heat. The only caution is the hardwoods are slippery in socks! Very slippery. Our rooms were quaint but the overhead AC unit is noticeably older and the heat & humidity +40c made it struggle to cool the rooms. I doubt it ever went down to 24c but it was pleasant enough to sleep. Staff were mostly able to converse in English but everyone treated us like royalty and welcomed us everyday. The experience in Chiang Mai overall was great - as a tourist city Ive always been pleased with restaurants and shops staff quality and care. This hotel stands above my previous experience to Chiang Mai and we would stay here again for sure. Location was close to several nice restaurants too!

Let me start by saying the room was excellent. Spacious, clean and well appointed with a decent balcony. However I did think booking the hotel that the hotel was in spacious grounds. The rooms, rather like appartments, sit around a central swimming pool. The pool is great but as I say the hotel did not feel spacious. The dining room is also across a busy road. It sits right on the river which is lovely but feels separate to the hotel. Any drinks etc you order come from there. I also tried to contact the hotel twice before I arrive to organise an airport pick up but no response. GRAB is great as a taxi service from the hotel and nowhere seemed more than b80. Overall not a bad experience, just not outstanding.

Beautiful hotel , very very kind and helpful staff. We truly enjoyed our stay. This hotel gives you feeling of resort style with traditional northern Thai style. I highly recommend the place if you like to stay in old city

The location is very convenient, however the hotel is beginning to show its age as the rooms are dated. The room lighting etc are all controlled via a central unit in both the bedroom and lounge. As for the desk in the bedroom there is only one wall plug and that was used for power the WIFI router with no additional USB type connectors. How does one use and charge a laptop etc.? The shower door was a poor fit with water leaking onto the floor, i won't mention the shower rose either, something that would be more fitting in a two star hotel. Plus the constant ticking noise from the water pipes. The carpeting within the lifts is poorly fitting and really does need to be replaced. So would I stay again, probability due in part due to its location.

The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant stay for our family of four in one of the suites.
