Entry to the property is challenging, as there is a locked gate that you don’t have a code to. Directions from the property are not forthcoming easily. That said once you get inside it’s a great place to stay. Roomy, quiet, and really well appointed. Once they get the initial entry thing right, this will be a go to place for people.

The property was well maintained overall with well groomed lawns and plants. The room was very clean as well. The pool was also clean and well maintained with both the indoor and outdoor sections. The location of the resort was also very convenient as it was within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants as well as the Red Rock state park. The one thing that was disappointing was the air conditioning not working in the upstairs section with the summer temperatures being over 90 degrees. We called maintenance and they said they couldn’t really do anything about it so we spent two nights sleeping in hot conditions making do with a couple of fans.

Lovely property. Beautiful room, so many thoughtful touches from fresh baked bread, snacks, drinks, made to order breakfast. The pool and jacuzzi were also wonderful. I highly recommend staying here!

This review is a bit tricky because I think my expectations were different from what this property actually is. We arrived around 11 p.m., and there wasn’t a single staff member at the front desk or anywhere on the property. It felt surprisingly deserted, which wasn’t the most reassuring first impression after a long day of driving. I was also surprised to discover that all of the rooms have exterior entrances. I hadn’t realized this when booking, and personally I don’t love that style of accommodation because it feels more like a motel than a traditional hotel. It’s clear that this was once an older motel that has been thoughtfully renovated. The design is clean, modern, and stylish, and the renovation team did a good job updating the aesthetic. That said, details like the popcorn ceilings and a lingering musty smell reminded me of the building’s age. Looking back, I think I could have enjoyed the property if I’d gone in with different expectations. It feels like a well-designed, upgraded motel that would appeal to hikers, road-trippers, and people who plan to spend most of their time outdoors exploring Sedona. Based on the photos, descriptions, and overall rating, however, I was expecting something that felt more elevated and more like a boutique hotel. If you know what you’re booking, you may really enjoy it. It just wasn’t quite what I had envisioned based on the ratings, reviews and photos.
