Great hotel in a fantastic location, just a 15-minute walk along the beach to Fisherman’s Village. I stayed in a lovely bungalow facing the water and really enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive throughout.
There were, however, a few downsides worth mentioning:
1) The hotel ferry service to Fisherman’s Village is very limited, and taxis are surprisingly expensive compared with other parts of Thailand I’ve visited.
2) The Wi-Fi was very poor. I constantly had to log back in, which became quite frustrating.
3) Most importantly, the concrete surface around the pool is badly deteriorated in places and could be dangerous if someone falls. I saw a young boy fall and take the skin off his knee. This really does need urgent attention from the hotel.
Despite these issues, I had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay at Celes again if I return to Koh Samui.
