The best hotel in liloan……………………………….

This property has a certain charm, is very atmospheric with pretty gardens, but seems passed its prime. The room we were given smelled strongly of mold, the private pool was too gross to swim in, the small beach was not inviting and everything generally felt decrepit, dirty and in poor condition. After complaining and showing staff our issues with the room, we were eventually moved to another one which was much better. Our experience wasn't great but some may like it and staff was responsive. Seemed very over priced despite private pool.

Modala was beautiful. There are many hotels in Bohol, but I'm so glad we chose this one. The pool and beach are pristine and quiet, and we loved the shopping area attached to the hotel, with good restaurants, cafes, and lovely shops for souvenirs and handmade jewelry. The hotel restaurant was excellent, and the buffet breakfast was extensive and featured local delicacies from Bohol - something new every morning. The staff were so gracious and accommodating. I would return to Bohol just to stay at Modala again!

If you want to get away from it all , this is the place, this little island . No casino , no golf club, no cars, no TV, only adults , landscaping lovingly maintained , but not excessively, super friendly staff, incredible massage team. Bring books and relax and sleep off your stress , on this island you are condemned to do nothing but enjoy the hospitality.

The room was great. The pool area is beautiful. Everything else was okay. The upstairs bar was fine. The servers in the restaurants weren’t very attentive, and the food almost took an hour. The resort also doesn’t really have a nice sandy beach, so you have to take a shuttle to Alona. The spa was pretty good

If you want to get away from it all , this is the place, this little island . Cleanliness and friendly staff

JPark is good for families with young children. Our 4 year old had so much fun swimming. Our older children 12 not as much. They like the faster slides at Clark. The communication to customers is opaque. All rooms include waterpark passes for 2 adults and 2 children. Then some rooms include food for adults but not for children We paid 600 for buffet for our children each day.Other rooms include food for children. 3 restaurants, one always buffet, one Korean food, one steak house on 12th floor. Several others they call restaurants but only for pool food delivery or smoothies. clark

Original room refused as it was gloomy and apparently not of the previous rooms standards I have used, having stayed here before. I was given a room that had many small problems, so requested a paid update which was good. I personally spoke with Butch the duty manager who thankfully gave me an explanation. This hotel will be going through an update from March where all the small problems I identified should be resolved. This hotel now has many newer local hotels against it for accommodation. Hopefully the upgrades will be sufficient to provide competition. The location is great not being too far from the Ayala Mall. The breakfast is very good but try not to go too far to please an ever larger Asian clientele. I will look forward to returning to see the resultant upgrades.
