Municipality of Ferwerderadiel Pet-friendly Vacations

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, particularly because of how my concerns were handled by the front desk. When I arrived, I was told that a room was available for early check-in but would cost €10 per hour. This was not mentioned on the booking page, so I declined and expressed my frustration. To be clear, I am not referring to the additional €7 charge, which I was aware of and had no issue with. After I complained, another receptionist said I could check in without any additional cost. I checked in at around 1:22pm and turned on the AC because the room was very hot. It did not appear to work, but I assumed it needed time. When I returned around 5pm, the room was even hotter, so I contacted reception. The female receptionist responded in an extremely rude and dismissive manner, saying they did not have enough staff and essentially asking what I expected them to do. I did not argue. Later, a member of staff came with a fan and said the AC could not be fixed and that I could not be moved because the hotel was fully booked. Interestingly, when I checked the hotel’s availability myself, double rooms were still available for that night, which made this explanation difficult to understand. I also found very long hairs in my towels and bathroom, which was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic. Technical problems can happen, but the way this situation was handled and the attitude of the staff were unacceptable. I have never experienced this.

Our stay at Avavni Museum Quarter was everything we hoped for & more. I chose it because of the central location to many of the museums we were interested in and that it was canal side. We got a panoramic Canal View room which was perfect. The staff was so helpful and made my and my adult child's birthday very special with treats, personalized cards and even sparkling wine. We had breakfast on our last 2 days there and it was one of the best breakfasts we've had while in AMS. They had an assortment of hot dishes, cold cuts, fruits, yogurt, cereal and also some made to order items like Dutch pancakes, eggs, omelettes and so forth. There was even ingredients to make a mocktail Bloody Mary. The hotel is very walkable to several areas in the city. Plus it's close to tram and Metro . I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Bathroom was clogged in room 238. We stayed for two days but the issue remained. Air conditioning was poor. Room was very small.

Great location near to train station and the port. We stayed for 2 nights and it was nice to have a quiet hotel after the hustle and bustle of the city to come back to. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the wait staff in the restaurant and the bar were very friendly.

Not a 5 start hotel overpriced, location is the only real value here

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The room was very small and basic but I appreciated that it had its own bathroom. This stay is a good option if you plan to use the room for sleep only and spend the day enjoying the city.

Clean hotel, but needs updating.
