Italian Lakes Luxury Vacations

This property rates itself as a four-star but fails in a number of ways, FIRST, we there in late October shoulder season…. Which means the HVAC system was completely off. Which means absolutely no ventilation in the room. What? The front desk offered to bring us a fan. What? Secondly, calling the front desk. There is a phone in the room. But there are no instructions on how to call the front desk. Lifting the receiver did nothing. Dialing zero did nothing. The preprogrammed buttons did nothing. Crazy. Third, one day the maid came in and removed ALL our water bottles from the room (most not empty) and did not replace them. So we had no water that night. What? Finally the maid did not restock the TP on our three night stay. My wife had to walk to the front desk to get some. At 10pm. What? We asked to cancel our third night so we could stay in a working, ventilated hotel but were told by hotel staff directly (and after Expedia tried as well) that our stay was pre-paid and the answer was no. Grumble grumble. They should do better. The gym was good, breakfast was good, the room was tiny but nice, !WiFi was slow.

Exactly what’d you’d expect from a luxury hotel by the lakeside. Great welcoming staff, great amenities and food. The price is up there but you really get what you pay for and the view is an experience all in itself
