Excellent location. Bergen is small but it was still nice to be a 3 minute walk to the train station and 5 minute walk to the center city. Very nice staff and room.

Every single front desk staff member with whom we interacted was cheerful, friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. Seriously the most amazing team. Our room was beautiful and downright palatial by European standards! Be sure to ask for a key to climb the tower (only about 2 flights of stairs), for a beautiful view.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location was excellent. Would stay here again.

This hotel is a “home style” accommodation. Breakfast and dinner is buffet style, bus your own table, dinners were very basic and simple meals..soup,paste,bread,salad. In 5 days , our room was never cleaned. We got our own towels off a cart that was left in the hallway. The best amenity was at teatime, excellent cake and tea..all self serve.

The property is a bit worn down but that’s the charm of it. Breakfast was outstanding. The property is right outside the fish market which is a bustling area but read reviews about whether the place you chose to eat out is worth it. There is a wonderful bar/music venue down the street named Felix. Might not play during the summer. They served awesome food. Bus stop and tram are very close to the hotel.

The front desk staff are superbly friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff was blasting loud music through a Bluetooth speaker without regard for the impact on their guests. This hotel is DIM. Hard to read by the feeble light in the rooms. The overall feel is kind of funky and bohemian, not clean and professional. The rooms are spartan. Not enough storage space. The TV is hard to use and has poor channel selections. I wouldn’t stay there again.
