Clean room and friendly staff

More motel than a hotel in a rather sketchy neighborhood. Room was decent for a motel but floor was creaky and uneven. Staff was friendly. Felt tad unsafe, even though parking area was gated.

The room smelled pretty musty and in room dining needs improvement. The fries weren’t very warm when they came and the food was pretty small for what we paid. That may just be standard with resort. We added the $30 breakfast on and I liked that! The buffet was pretty good. Also, the pool cafe closes at 5 which I thought was weird. It also was pretty pricey but probably what you can expect at a resort. They also add on an automatic 20% gratuity.

Everything was great. Staff, villa, spa. Will definitely return.

Hotel is a bit dated and is overpriced . Canyon suites should have more

We had a great stay at Placemakr Downtown Phoenix. Our room was a fully furnished studio, including oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer and dryer en suite. The building is new, and the room was very clean. Well connected to public transportation, convenience stores (CVS, Fry's) a few blocks away (~10 minute walking distance). The 22nd floor has a game room, a business room with computers and a printer, a media room, and a shared open space room. There's a nice break room with free coffee on the ground floor of the building adjacent to Placemakr, which also has an outdoor swimming pool and can be accessed using the fob that opens our room.

View and grounds are stunning. Room was well appointed with a bit of wear and tear starting to show. Pool was beautiful but the lounge chairs were dirty.
