Great stay!! Very clean, and the pool is amazing to have access to. The bar food was very good. Staff was helpful and friendly. The Metro is very close to travel to Downtown Madrid.

Great accommodation, communication and check in process. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is (I’d have given it 4.5 if possible) is: (1) The microwave in our property was out of order (the host knew - it had a sticker on It saying so) and we were not told before we arrived, which was a bit annoying. They subsequently offered to move us to another but it was the evening by then, we were tired and only staying one night. Surely it would have been better to put us in a property with a working microwave before checking in? (2) if you head straight up the road or turn right out of the property the area is fine; but if you turn left and it is a bit dodgy and don’t feel 100% safe on the street. There was also a camp of homeless people straight outside the door. To be clear the property felt very safe and secure.

The check-in process was not excellent. We arrived at 4:30PM and our room was not ready. We had to wait for the staff to find an available room, which was not our first choice. However, later the hotel offered to move us to another room, which we did not make because it was inconvenient. The manager improved our stay by giving us free breakfast which was excellent. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to restaurants, museums and shopping. We would return

The hotel and bedroom were clean. However, the A/C was not working very well, and the continental breakfast was terrible.

In general the experience was above and beyond what my family and I expected. The only note I would like to leave is that the rooftop experience was a bit overwhelming in that, being a paying guest I didn't expect to compete with non-guests for prime sitting spaces during sunset with views which we primarily chose hotel for; Space for non smokers would be nice.
