Modala was beautiful. There are many hotels in Bohol, but I'm so glad we chose this one. The pool and beach are pristine and quiet, and we loved the shopping area attached to the hotel, with good restaurants, cafes, and lovely shops for souvenirs and handmade jewelry. The hotel restaurant was excellent, and the buffet breakfast was extensive and featured local delicacies from Bohol - something new every morning. The staff were so gracious and accommodating. I would return to Bohol just to stay at Modala again!

The room was great. The pool area is beautiful. Everything else was okay. The upstairs bar was fine. The servers in the restaurants weren’t very attentive, and the food almost took an hour. The resort also doesn’t really have a nice sandy beach, so you have to take a shuttle to Alona. The spa was pretty good

This property has a certain charm, is very atmospheric with pretty gardens, but seems passed its prime. The room we were given smelled strongly of mold, the private pool was too gross to swim in, the small beach was not inviting and everything generally felt decrepit, dirty and in poor condition. After complaining and showing staff our issues with the room, we were eventually moved to another one which was much better. Our experience wasn't great but some may like it and staff was responsive. Seemed very over priced despite private pool.

Too quiet , not ideal place for young people. Facility is clean , very accommodating staff / friendly but the only drawback- road to the resort too rough , even tricycles a bit hesitant to drive you there. The place a bit far from places to eat & Alona beach too !

No hot water in shower the entire 5 nights as the regulator valve on the hot / cold water was defective. The swimming pool had hundreds of missing tiles. The staff were some of the best of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in and because of that alone, I’ll return in the future. They handled every request I threw at them with a smile and a right away sir …

I liked the property provided a rental to use around the island. They also have a shuttle that will transport you to the airport- very convenient on saving time not having to book a ride. A simple yet efficient place to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff went above and beyond to make our honeymoon truly special and were so accommodating in every way. Since many of our tours started early, they arranged takeaway breakfasts for us, which was a huge help. We stayed in the pool villa, which was amazing, peaceful, away from the crowds, and the 'floating delight' breakfast was a highlight! The bathroom and shower were incredible: very spacious with great water pressure. We also enjoyed strolling along the bamboo walk to the bar, which doubled as a great running path. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced as well. While the hotel is about a 12-minute tuk-tuk ride to the center, we actually valued being on the outskirts of the chaos of Alona Beach. Coming back to such peace and quiet was exactly what we needed, especially while dealing with jet lag. This was truly a little slice of paradise; I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and would love to stay again!"

Honestly exceeding our expectations. Ananyana’s facilities and rooms were clean and much bigger than their photos portray. We had a great stay here. The food was good and reasonably priced too.

I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! It's super convenient being within walking distance of Alona Beach, McDonald's, and Jollibee. The hotel staff are incredibly helpful and friendly whenever I need assistance, and the rooms are surprisingly spacious and beautifully decorated. I was delighted to find that they even provide hot water! It's definitely a great value for the money, and I'm already looking forward to returning to Bohol and staying here again.
