We booked a lux apartment. Check-in was easy, and our bags were quickly taken to our suite. The suite was beautiful, with a well-equipped kitchenette, very comfortable lounge, good sized bedroom with very comfortable bed, well equipped dressing area, safe, and a fantastic luxurious bathroom. There was also a separate small washroom. Outside, there was a full length balcony running the length of the lounge and bedroom. The hotel itself is in a fantastic area that felt very safe well into the evening and had many great restaurants, bars and shops within a 10-15 minute walk. I would 100% come back to this place if I was in Sao Paulo again, it is 10/10. The only slight criticism is the breakfast is just okay - not bad, but not great - but the one time we ate dinner we had fantastic service and delicious food. The second reason I would recommend this hotel is because of the outstanding staff. I was travelling with my wife for our 25th wedding anniversary, and I very stupidly left my gold wedding ring in the room and didn't realise until I had passed through airport security. At many hotels I think you may not get such a valuable item back, so I was immensely relieved and grateful when I called them to be told they had it. They very kindly arranged for the ring to be returned to me in the UK (at my expense, of course) and they patiently dealt with the courier DHL (who were incompetent throughout) over several days. Thanks to the staff, I have my ring back - thank you!!!

Everything was great about the hotel! Staff, room and service. Only thing missing from the hotel room was a iron. Clothes being packed all night from a flight need ironing but the hotel does off laundry and ironing service for a fee. Very close to train and beaches. Many restaurants in the area to choose from! Bartenders didnt speak English but everyone in the front desk did lol. 1 bartender gave my girl a coke with her drink for free while another Bartender charger her for it. Wifi service was 50/50. Going in and out at times. Most tour companies pick up from the hotel which made everything easy! Swimming pool was cool. I would suggest that they offer towels before entering the pool and more beach chairs for visitors who was to tan. Overall, I would book again

For over 15 years, I have been using the Rio Othon Palace 2x-3x per year. It is at a great location with many great restaurants, centrally located, shopping galoreand transportation options abound. The hotel has a great recently renovated rooftop with one of the best views of Rio's Copacabana Beach. The staff is very friendly and carries the typical 'carioca' hospitality. Awesome spot!

El internet nunca funcionó en la habitación. Tuve que trabajar en el lobby y fue muy incómodo por el ruido. Cobraron 100R por estacionamiento y realmente el carro se queda en la calle “cuidado” por los vigilantes del hotel. En general la atención del hotel podría mejorar.

Great location, beautiful pool. Would be better with a small shop with some food and medicines so you didn’t need to go to the city to get basics. Very safe, close to where you want to be. Taxis are abundant there.

Gym is old, location is great as the beach is Amazing. Great area

I have certainly stayed in nicer hotels, but this one rated the tops in staff and service!!! Apparently they are working on some renovations, so facilities should improve. Breakfast and lunch buffets were amazing!

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left staff, room, amenities, food was to perfection. On Friday we had a watch party for Brazil soccer game, all the details were so well thought. The family suite we stayed was just another must. Breakfast… be ready to splurge! Pool bar ceviche great! Coxinhas… drinks… Park for little kids and another one for bigger kids… list can go on and on… Worthy of each penny! Thank you so much
