We enjoyed our week-long stay at Seasense and would give it a 4.5 score if we could. This small 63-room adult-only boutique hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are well appointed. Service is friendly and attentive, but can be slow at mealtimes. The exclusive beach is quite small and shallow but fine for a splash or a snorkel. The pretty à la carte restaurant is right by the sea, and there was no shortage of loungers, including with shade. The small pool is heated and lovely for a quick dip. The modest spa and sauna is a nice touch. Two issues however. First, noise from the road: the hotel is sandwiched on a small strip or land between the main coast road and the sea. More importantly, we found the food quite variable: occasionally excellent, always presented beautifully, but often bland and under-seasoned and cold. A shame given the reputation of Mauritian cuisine. Also, half the menu items (and nearly all the fish options) are subject to hefty supplements. The buffet night (combined with a free cocktail party for guests) was however enjoyable.

Flott velkomst. Utrolig avslappende atmosfære fra ende til annen. Flott, rent, moderne, romslig rom ved bassenget. Noe lavt trykk i dusj, men regndusj kompenserte litt for det. Fin balkong for morgenkaffen og glass bobler. God følelse av luksus og ivaretakelse uten å bli overdådig. Vennlige og oppmerksomme ansatte overalt. God frokost med fin variasjon for enhver smak, uten å ha enorm utvalg. Mange forskjellige egg på bestilling. God kaffe som kan bestilles både til frokost og til ettermiddags teen. Alt inkludert i frokosten. En hel del å velge mellom til lunsj og middag. Har man måltider inkludert er det endel å velge i og ved behov kan man bestille artige retter for et tillegg. Dyrere kjøttretter som f.eks. entrecôte er mulig til ca. 450nok som et tillegg. Men ikke mulig å presentere kjøttstykker i forkant. Enkelte servitører er veldig ivrige på upsale av både teppanyaki og sjømatfat, noe som kan oppleves litt slitsomt. De aller fleste tilbyr dette på en behagelig, respektfull måte. Har man ønsker eller behov for noe som helst, er alle veldig behjelpelig om det skulle vøre en gaffel, peanøtter eller større ting. Får ikke lov til å bære og hente selv. Eiendommen og hager er godt vedlikeholdt. Hele tiden noen som rengjør og tar vare på hotellområdet. I junitider var det lett å få en solseng ved bassenget og stranden. Ikke noe musikk i området, tiltak som gjør oppholdet avslappende. Levende musikk ene dagen til middag. Alt i alt fortreffelig opphold de få dagene vi hadde.

Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht von diesem Hotel. Angefangen von den sehr dünnen Wänden und deshalb lauten Zimmer, bis hin zu einem sehr unaufmerksamen Personal. Wenn man ein Anliegen hatte konnte das selten gelöst werden. Die kleinsten Dinge waren immer ‚against the rules‘. Bis auf Ana an der Rezeption hat sich niemand wirklich gekümmert. Auch der Service im Hauptrestaurant war ziemlich schlecht. Man hatte das Gefühl als ob das Personal absolut keine Lust hatte oder kein Englisch verstand. Bestellungen wurden sehr oft vergessen oder einfach ignoriert. Wir hatten All-inclusive gebucht - das Essen war aber leider jeden Tag dasselbe. Es gab also wenig Varietät und auch der Geschmack war leider wenig zufriedenstellend. Nicht zu vergessen - der Strand ist meist voll mit Algen die nicht weggeräumt werden - zumindest im Juni.
