Property was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Right across from train and bus station. Walking distance to town Would have liked more choices for breakfast or have it included.

I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel

Hotel itself very nice, good breakfast. Friendly staff helped a bit with parking issues first day and ice the first two mornings (but not the last). Neighborhood interesting - some sketchy businesses (exotic dance halls & casinos), but numerous hotels & families walking around. A substantial walk or short ride to major Munich sites.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It is so beautiful and they were so helpful with any of the questions we had. Don’t sleep on the sauna wellness area on the fifth floor. It was absolutely incredible.

First thing…you get what you pay for. This is definitely a 3 star hotel. The amenities highlighted in the as for the hotel says it has onsite parking. While true they do, but apparently it’s a first come first serve basis. Therefore, we did not get onsite parking. We tried to ask the receptionist where to park. She was not helpful in this area. The graves she gave me were a 15-25 minute walk from the property. The Ming bed is 2 twins put together. Cleanliness and upkeep for the hotel are a 3 star quality. The breakfast was decent. If I were asked if I recommended this hotel, I’d say if you want a mediocre hotel then this is your spot. Other than that no.

★★★☆☆ 3/5 Our stay at Sofitel Munich Bayerpost was pleasant enough, but overall somewhat disappointing given the hotel’s reputation, five-star status and premium pricing. The location adjacent to Munich Hauptbahnhof is excellent and makes exploring the city and onward rail travel very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, but surprisingly compact, with less space than we had expected from a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, several aspects of the experience fell short. The in-room television lacked smart TV functionality and offered little programming beyond German-language channels. The fitness centre was small and inadequately equipped, with limited space and equipment. Service throughout the hotel was largely absent rather than poor—staff were polite, but there was little of the attentiveness or hospitality one expects from a Sofitel property. Food and beverage offerings were expensive and, in our experience, average in quality. There was nothing fundamentally wrong with our stay, and the hotel served as a comfortable base for our time in Munich. However, for the price paid, we expected a considerably higher standard of facilities, service and overall experience. We left feeling that the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost trades more on its reputation and location than on delivering a truly five-star experience.

Wonderful staff and food

Room was very nice, although it felt like the living area and/or bedroom could have benefited from a little more storage. Bathroom was really hot but nicely appointed. Breakfast is outstanding as long as you get there early enough to avoid sitting in one of the back rooms. Servers don’t make it back there very often. It’s amazingly quiet in the rooms - even those facing the Main Street. We were there for New Years And barely heard any noise from fireworks.

Loved the room and beautiful balcony! Breakfast was delicious! Close to downtown for restaurants. Beds were super comfortable. Would stay there again!

Stellar. I had no idea german hospitality could be this 5 star. Would recommend to anyone visiting munich, because even though its far from the main tourist attractions, it was absolutely stellar living. Better than the maritim munchen in downtown, which is absolutely 3 star nonsense at best.
