Funen Cheap Vacations

We stayed three nights there. Everything about this place was wonderful. However, on Saturday they have “live music” on the top floor of the building. We asked for a quiet room and they gave us one that was maximally away from the noise, but we could still hear the beat until 2 am on Sunday morning. It was pure torture. We couldn’t sleep and then had trouble sleeping for hours afterward. We basically didn’t sleep that night. So if your stay is on a Saturday, and you want to use your room to sleep and not to just store your luggage, look for a room elsewhere. Otherwise, the place IS quiet and nice.

New towels were only offered on request. Your room sheets would be changed every 2nd day. No air conditioning offered! Premium quality hotel on paper only.. no bottle water available in room. Did not offer anything bottled water at check-in.

Family-friendly

It was nice to have an apartment for 5 nights, there was a washing mashing and a dishwasher. Everything was clean and there was parking. The beds were comfortable. It was a bit of a walk to the nearest mass transit. There was soap for the dishwasher but not for the washing machine. There wasn't enough toilet paper for the full 5 days for 6 people. There was no way to sweep or vacuum the floors and even though the washing machine was also a dryer there was no place to hang up laundry to dry. I would recommend the owners add a stick vacuum or a standing dustpan with a broom instead of the small one that was under the sink.

Lovely hotel in an ideal location

This is a hard review to write because there was a lot about the stay that was great. The breakfast was phenomenal (but insanely overpriced), the pool was lovely, and the hotel itself is cute. All of the staff except the manager (see below) were kind and attentive in every way. The room itself was charming but despite having air conditioning, there was virtually zero air flow in the room. My biggest complaint about this hotel is the hotel manager and the poor customer service/complete lack of human empathy I experienced from him. I was in Amsterdam two nights before my reservation and I was mugged. I called the hotel to see if they could help me modify my reservation because I wasn’t going to be able to make it to Copenhagen without a wallet, and they were incredibly rude and just kept reiterating the no change/no cancellation policy. It was kind of shocking to be honest. It put a very bad taste in my mouth, which is unfortunate because the hotel was lovely otherwise.

Great Location, connected to the airport, Metro and Train. Outstanding staff, big rooms and great breakfast.

The kids' activities were absolutely incredible for children. There was a lot going on and staff around. It wasn't a dedicated kids' club in the sense that they repurposed their conference hall facilities, but nevertheless they added a great dimension to our stay. I would really highly recommend it, and things like the bikes too are a great addition. The staff are all really good with kids and breakfast as well, and everywhere, so I would say, , incredible stay as parents!
