Calgary Cheap Vacations

Astounded by the appointment of the lobby and the room . King size bed, coffee maker. Mini fridge. Spacious and attractive room and bathroom! Loads of clean towels. Breakfast included.. coffee in the lobby alcove for early risers such as I am. Such an amazingly low price when compared to all the surrounding hotels. Check on Expedia! Only 5-6 minutes by the airport’s shuttle! I travel extensively and without reservation, highly recommend this hotel!

The best property in Calgary, Staff have always been amazing!

I always like that this hotel is clean and comfortable. It is in a super location with ready access to the light rail Transit and plenty of restaurants. The front desk staff are always amazing and super friendly. I was disappointed that the bathroom wasn't cleaner, you could see dirt on the counters in a few spots from the previous guest which I had to wipe away and the paint was peeling away from the ceiling in the shower. I expect more of a Sandman Hotel at this price point.

Great hotel. Gilbert was delightful checking us in and refunded an early arrival charge (his idea!) because we weren't all that early. The hotel is nicely appointed, the room quite comfortable. Located in downtown Calgary, the Arts is literally steps from a variety of dining choices from sports bar like spots to middle and high end restaurants with a variety of offerings. Calgary is a hopping place. Our only disappointment with the Arts was in the bellhop who accepted a generous tip for taking the bags up, then accepted another generous tip from me a a couple minutes later. He should have declined my tip, explaining that my wife had already tipped him.
