Love this place. Although it is a 25 minute walk into the centre, it is right on the river/sea front and in a lovely community. Great room that was a mini apartment, and has a gym- you can also swim in the river/sea right outside (as some locals were doing!) Good pricing and v friendly. Quiet at night , unlike being in the centre

Andaz Amsterdam was okay, but it would not be my first choice in Amsterdam. The hotel is convenient and the food was good, but the reception area is small and the modern design is not really my taste. The rooms are fine, but the beds were not very comfortable. There is no real spa, and the gym is too small for a hotel in this category. Overall, I would rate it closer to a 3-star hotel than a true 5-star hotel. I also think it is too expensive for what it offers.

I wanted to love my stay at the hotel. The front desk people were excellent. The area around the hotel was safe and there were restaurants within walking distance. However, as for my room, my shower was clogged with hair and the problem extended further into the plumbing, so my sink was extremely slow to drain. The result was water all over the floor in the bathroom. A real mess. You can see this had happened before because there were water stains all over the room on the carpet. It was disappointing.

Well located. Quiet mostly. Rooms are nice. Bed is comfy. Only negative was the shower temperature was not constant and varied to very hot to cold.

Good location within a short walk of train station and tram stops. Staff were friendly and very helpful (improvising a vase for our mother's day flowers). Rooms were clean and well-equipped, but there were some style-over-substance design choices (e.g., glass cylinder shower that clogged and overflowed, tiny wash basin). Not many options for food - particularly dinner - without a bit of a walk, mitigated by easy access to trams.
