We are traveling from US. We have been to many places in China. We enjoyed staying in a traditional Beijing style hotel in local Beijing neighborhood. The staff are super helpful and nice. No issues with staffs or the hotel, but the local area is a bit far from subway and attractions. The shower room is nice but there aren’t any hooks and there is no dryer for clothes.

Such a great hotel and staff !!!
Well maintained, top service, we have the best sleep in this hotel, just perfect.
The metro station is just in front of this hotel.
The only thing that I think need to improve is the lavatory area tht is a bit narrow and shower room that has a metal hanger for the shower gel bottle hanger that might scratch your arm into a serious wound, need to be improved. Overall this is the best hotel you can get for this deal, perfect!!

it is a design property in the downtown centre, which is convenient. However, the signage, in particular inside the room is terrible. It takes time to work out what button is for what. It is not internationally standardised but a uniquely designed and developed most likely by the hotel. And that is the problem. Guests tend to be tired after flight and just want to settle in and relax. Yet, it takes ages to work out how the buttons work and are responsible for what, which can be frustrating.
While the staff are helpful, if guests seek assistance, but who want to call the staff to seek assistance if you can self-work out?

Hotel rooms is spacious and location is good with shopping malls nearby (Joy city) with good variety of dining options and PopMart. Hotel is rather old, breakfast spread is very limited. Reception staff can be more friendly and helpful- most of them we encountered for our 6 days stay are gloomy looking. Swimming pool smaller than in pictures. Not near to Tiananmen nor forbidden city. Would recommend if prices are reasonable.

Great stay at Lanou Hotel in Beijing! The location is fantastic—close to many popular attractions, which made sightseeing so easy. The front desk staff were super friendly and check-in was very efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. As a business traveler, I really appreciated the smooth experience. Highly recommended!

I thought that the place was magical and every detail was there in the rooms in the restaurant. I just love the way it looked smelled. It wasn’t overpower perfume which is one of the worst things these hotels keep doing. I don’t know why and I just the bed was extremely comfortable my only detail as I told the management was the service in the bar twice they forgot our drink and it took like 30 minutes and that part was a shame, and it wasn’t really full or busy to justify it other than that, I thought it was just magical to be able to stay there
