Vuurtoren Adventure Vacations

Room was clean, but someone had jacked the heater up during a warm day, on the top floor, so the room was a sweat box on arrival. The room itself was ok, though the bathroom design was a little pokey, no where to put toiletries next to the sink, because there's no where for the towels to go, also no shelf in the shower for the toiletries, and I hate putting that on the floor. (elderly can't always reach down and pick up shampoo and conditioner.....???? They have a wall to split the shower from the toilet which makes sense, but limits elbow room. The big issue was that both the main guest lift and service lift in tower 2 broke down on the evening I stayed. The staircase is in the process of being redecorated (I think, from the bare wood battens on the walls) but the stairs in some areas are very narrow and uneven. thank the lords I'm an able man, but it would be tough for others. Getting 2 x 23kg back down 5 storeys in the morning was insane! Though I did get help for the last 23kg box. More needs to be spent on maintaining some very old equipment. Staff were great with a situation out of their control, so kudos to them for empathy and care. Hats off to Noi at the front desk.

The staff was super helpful and always happy to help. There was a nice lobby area with games and food / drinks for purchase. Hotel room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy too! The only thing is they have an open shower and water gets everywhere. I'd still stay again if in need of a hotel in the area. At least the shower wasn't teeny tiny. But, you'll need an extra towel to leave on the floor to soak up all the water.

Good room but heard outside noise which was intrusive at times. The restaurant had too few options but staff were excellent. Not in best area of Brussels and suggest that anyone staying avoids the walk to Nord station unless they’re buying drugs or prostitutes

The sink in the bathroom was broken, we informed the staff to fix it, and was told it would be looked at. Then was told we have to request towels and cleaning isnt done everyday. Its a 4 star hotel, what am i paying for

Charming property but not suitable for some because there was no elevator. Staff was very helpful assisting with luggage but the higher floor you’re on the more steps to climb whenever you leave or arrive. Older building.
