No towels in pool. Waited an hour after asking staff for some and no towels arrived

TOC was excellent, beautiful building, spacious suite with some fun personalisation, and the staff were friendly professional and welcoming, highly recommended, will stay here again 😊

The rooms are large and decorated in the heritage style expected for this hotel. I stayed for the architecture of this hotel and was somewhat disappointed with my stay. Only one staff member was on reception and dealing with some complex issues for another customer. The wait was long after delayed flights. Was given a room with twin beds despite travelling solo. The tv service was out & no menus available in for room service that closed shortly. Once ordered down at reception, salad arrived quickly and was delicious. I wish I could’ve stayed more than one night and had a better first impression.

The room selected was perfect for our stay in the Yarra Valley. Eveything was spotless, clean with everything available at your fingertips. Staff very courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a selection to answer your needs. There was a weekend portion to our stay and the place was swarming with people, a good sign of the quality offered. The wine tasting at the cellar door was enjoyable and gave us the opportunity to sample many of the wines produced on site. Their estate series has some excellent wines that I would recommend. We had dinner at their restaurant and the meal was excellent. Overall, a very enjoyable time in a region that has a lot to offer for everyone.

Pros. Good location. Close by parking option. Very clean room. Fully decked out kitchenette (not used). Big comfortable bed. Quite during the night (early morning noise from I suspect renovations). Perfect temperature. Modern feel. Good view. Helpful front desk. Plenty of power points. Cons. Water comes out of the shower recess and thoroughly wets the bathroom floor. Plenty of ingredients to make tea or coffee except sugar. There is some device attached to the side of the AC head unit that flashes blue light in the dark (can't be noticed in the light), it was a pain when the lights were off. The desk/table & solitary chair are very cramped.

The whole stay was sort of up and down. The room initially had a contact lens on the bathroom counter, indicating that the cleaning before we checked in was not particularly thorough. The front desk staff seemed somewhat nonplussed about this. The beds were quite comfortable. We had a two king size bed suite and there was shockingly little storage space for the three of us. We ended up having to lie our suitcases on the ground and sort of live out of them during the time of that we were there. There was some minimal drawer space of one drawer and closet space but that would not have been enough for any of us individually. The hotel seems to have gone for style over substance. I found the music in the lobby to be somewhat overwhelming. I wish it had been more calming as opposed to some sort of house dance music. Breakfast in the restaurant was good and satisfying so that was a positive.
