We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and provided great service throughout our visit. The only downside was the location—it was quite far from most of the main tourist attractions and points of interest in Rio de Janeiro, so getting around took more time than expected. Overall, it was a good experience, especially if you don’t mind the extra travel time.

Staying in this hotel was a good decision. Very good location, helped us to arrive to all points of interest in Rio Janeiro very fast, most of the time walkable distance, or with very low taxi expenses. Personal very kind and ready to help. Complimentary breakfast very nice with good options, just little crowded so make sure to arrive in time. The restaurant area, because so crowded, missed little bit more cleaning. Rooms were comfortable and pretty clean, with some minor damages like the door of the bathroom not able to close, but in general in pretty good conditions. The hotel also has a parking lot next to it, very convenient for us that rented a car to go to Arraial do Cabo. I definitely recommend the hotel.

I would give property amenities and location 4 stars, but our room itself between 2 or 3. The location is so quiet unlike Copacabana and Ipanema. The beach is quiet and the crew that rents chairs are wonderful. Our room was disappointing mostly because the potential was so large. First the good: breakfast had a decent selection, the heated pool was a nice touch, kids play area was wonderful when we needed a change of scenery. We ordered “room service” burgers and it turned out they were from the market inside, and were frozen (but not bad for price)! The staff was nice but didn’t want to lift a finger to help us book any day trips or give recommendations. The restaurants in and around the hotel were decent but not knock your socks off. Hotel provides towels for pool and for beach. Not good: we stayed first floor 101. As soon as you exit the elevator you can smell the musty smell of water damaged, then see it along base boards as you walk the hallway. Our room was BEAUTIFUL with so much potential but dated with a strong smell of urine and standing water we had to open our patio doors to let it air out. The master tub didn’t drain properly leaving water standing as you shower, the toilet seat had chipped paint, and we had to request a change in the master bedding because the sheets were so worn they weren’t soft anymore. I felt gross walking around without shoes, and wouldn’t have used dishes before washing. The amenities truly made the property worth recommending.

Excelente limpieza, ubicación, servicio personal atento y las instalaciones muy buenas 3 jacuzzis deliciosos 2 piscinas 1 temperada en el roof top piso 39 y otra en el 4 ambas con excelentes vistas, me hicieron upgrade compre habitación sin vista y me dieron una con una lindisimo vista al mar en el piso 37 Bellisima el desayuno muy bueno en fin todo estuvo expectacular definitivamente volveria

The concierge staff led by Mr Danilo and Guest relations staff were excellent. The breakfast was ok. It had plenty of fruits and an omelette station. Other than that they also provided detoxifying green juice (only when asked). The pastries were kept in a separate area long with coffee and that whole place was very unhygienic. R era son being, people used their bare hands all the time to pick their pastries instead of the utensils and some of them after touching with their bare hands and their kids bare hands placed them back for others to consume. The Hyatt staff were not doing anything about it. I tried all the restaurants and the service was good. Food was good as well. One big complaint i have is that except for the concierge and some front desk folks noone spoke English and that was extremely hard

The very best thing was early check in. The gentleman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in at 11:30am (normal is 2pm). I'm sure that is not always possible but after a long flight that arrived inconveniently early, we were grateful. Everything else was good. The location is great with a perfect view of the beautiful Ipanema beach and the incredible foot-volleyball players and people relaxing by the sea. There are a ton of food options within a 5 minute walk (from McDonalds to fancy Brazilian steak). My only negative about the location is that it's about an hour drive from the airport when traffic is bad - and traffic is always bad (except apparently at 2am on Sunday). By the way, we never felt unsafe during our stay other than at the airport itself, where a flock of shady taxi drivers aggressively tried to persuade us that they were "official ubers". Don't fall for it - they will charge many times the correct rate. Go ahead and book this hotel.
