Sensui Island Waterpark Vacations

This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station depending on the room you're staying in given you contact them at least three days in advance. Although our Shinkansen was unexpectedly delayed by two hours due to rain/lightning, they patiently waited for our arrival and did not leave us stranded. Perhaps the only downside was that we only stayed two nights as I felt we could've done with some more downtime and taking advantage of the amenities including the bikes and SUPs. I hope to return again soon, staying for a longer time next time. Thank you Marissa Resort for giving us an incredible and memorable vacation!

Very clean property and very friendly/professional employees

The hotel was in a stunning location but far from any of the 3 convenience stores. They had their own on site but it was expensive compared to the others. It has the essentials but not much range. Walked 20 mins to a Lawson instead. We had a standard room which wasn't clean. There was dust on the ceilings, and mould on the bathroom ceiling, the bathroom was outdated. Good shower though. The Gym, Spa and Outdoor pool you had to pay extra for which you wouldn't expect for a 4 star hotel. Outdoor pool was small and there was mould in the grouting. Ferry pier just outside was handy for Miyajima Island. The hotel is lovely from the outside but the rooms need updating/maintaining. The Superior rooms may provide a different experience however, the Standard experience not so. Free shuttle to the station was a plus.

We just stayed one night but we enjoyed the hotel very much. The room looks a little old but it’s very convenient with the different spaces separate. Dinner was nice (some fish and some meat and veggies and desert). The breakfast was a buffet which is convenient for everyone to choose what they prefer. The onsen had nice views. We enjoyed our stay
