The place and people were great

Nice room but small… View to the city means view to a busy street with noise 24/7. Breakfast was nice but we expected more for the money… and the waiting for a table in the morning can be 10-15min… Stayed for 9 nights and when we asked to do late checkout they charged us extra 70eur… Overall nice hotel but for the money we expected more.

Our feeling, after spending over a week at this property, is that it is a 3.5 star hotel aspiring to be a 4 star hotel. The biggest draw for us was the view of the Acropolis, both from our room and our furnished balcony - the view for the Junior Suite was unobstructed and quite frankly magical. However, the room itself was small - there was a lot of square footage lost in a balcony that was far larger than we could make use of. The room was clean, but a little run down, especially in the bathroom, which was also small but well-appointed. The climate control system was very noisy and never seemed to turn off, which wasn't great for sleeping. The staff was very helpful, with excellent restaurant recommendations, which they happily made reservations at. There are all kinds of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was the same every day, with limited options - my wife described it as 'Spartan' - but the offerings were tasty. More breakfast options and freshening up the room could get them all the way to four stars.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The food was good. The shower in the room was disappointing though. Every time we had a shower it sprayed the floor and made it very slippery. Also because of this there was a slight smell of mold. The best part of the stay was Maria! She went above and beyond for our group of 8. Anything we asked of her she obliged. She definitely deserves a big raise! She is such a gem!

Lovely hotel. Location, the room and staff were great. Rooms are as pictured. Really good breakfast ! Would stay here again

It was a great location and very nice hotel. The staff were very helpful. The room was big and clean. It was walking distance to good restaurants and the square. The train station was walking distance as well.

Everything was great!
