Great hotel, gym is 6/10, but everything else is 10/10

Yes it's secluded. Yes it is a large property that requires a lot of walking. The rooms are slightly dated. It's all made up by the attention and care from the staff at the Ritz. My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon. We were treated with the utmost care from the kind folks there. The property is well manicured and clean. The pools were fun and the golf cart ride for the long walk to the beach is a must. Unfortunately we left with a slight sour note at the end of the trip. I left my Nike Dri-Fit hoodie in the armoire the entire time during my stay... Never took it out, and only had it there for the weather back home. Although it was my mistake, I left my sweater behind. I contacted the hotel an hour after I checked out. And somehow, the staff "did not locate" the sweater. It was frustrating to have to keep asking for updates for a sweater. Until lost and found finally admitted they didn't find a sweater.

2 weeks before we arrived I got an email from Expedia to call the resort. It did. They said the room we reserved was not available and that they needed to move us. I reserved a 3 bedroom unit w/ an ocean view. Mia kept trying to tell us what an upgrade it was. Our room ended up being at the back of the property w/ no ocean view, no housekeeping services and the pool near us had no pool service. Definitely not an upgrade! Upon check in, the woman who checked us in said they’ve known since November about the maintenance on our room. We were contacted the end of January. Had we known sooner, we could have tried to find somewhere else to stay. By waiting until 2 weeks before, they took that opportunity away. We had someone w/ us who had never been to Hawaii before. Having an ocean view was important to us. Sad we didn’t get one!

Everything was exceptional! Great property, quiet and peaceful

Staff was great. Some maintenance issues, leaking water dispenser on fridge leading to pooling and warping of floor. Same on large lanai. Otherwise, great

Stunning view, however the amenities were very limited. No room service or gym. I had to make my own bed. Not sure why do they charge a resort fee, this is not a resort.

Condo was clean and spacious! Had an amazing view with a huge window and a great lanai outside of the master bedroom. Loved having the door open for a sea breeze at night. Laundry and dishwasher detergent was already in the condo, and there were plenty of towels to use. We’d 100% stay here again if we come back to Maui!

Let me start by saying, the staff is wonderful. There are no elevators, which I heard many people complain about. It took 45 or more minutes to check in and there wasn’t a line. When you’ve been on a plane for many hours, then a taxi for an hour and you finely reach your destination but it takes a long time to check it’s rough. The room had 2 very small drawers, and again I was traveling with my family so we had to live out of our bag for the week, because there are no luggage racks. The sand from the beach is really fine and gets all over the room, and the room doesn’t have any hooks for wet swim suits.
