The property is on the beach. We had an ocean front room with balcony and it was fabulous. Special kudos to the Staff. They were wonderful. Dedicated and friendly. We always felt taken care of.

1. Terrible bathroom - ridiculous design and unsafe, plus the shower controls were awful. 2. No 110v power - the hotel provided a transformer which gave me an electric shock. 3. No elevator 4. The summing pool area was unusable as the floor was being replaced - ok I get that / but no notice given beforehand or discount offered 5. Dinner was very average at best This hotel is exclusive and expensive - it should have been better

Because it was my wife’s birthday and our first visit to Rio, we were offered an upgrade to an ocean view room.

Tranquility personified - my wife and I said the same thing about this place - it felt like the perfect setting for a romantic movie. my wife really liked the remote location, it is super private and secure... that part was a little annoying, it might be too secure. I had a hard time getting Ubers but like I said my wife loved that. 5 star staff members - absolute class. we got back 2 weeks ago and we are already planning to go back in 6 months.

Love the location, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing! Thanks for a great stay

Great hotel all around. Especially location on the beach in Ipanema.
