Excellent breakfast. It was very busy but wonderful choices. I learned that in Sweden, breakfast is a contact sport! Can't say enough good things about the hotel staff...first class from check-in to breakfast to check out. Very comfy bed and quiet room. The property is a little dated, but thats no big deal when all the other boxes are checked with an exclamation mark. Also, good location with really nice food court in department store building across the street.

Some (most) staff were friendly. More amenities needed in room (a kettle, rather than being in the hallway) and hotel is due an update soon I would say, as it's starting to look a little worn. Great location though and would probably stay again.

The location is amazing. Right on the edge or Gamla Stan, just a few minutes walk into Södermalm or to the ferries that can take you around, you are close to everything you’d want to see. There are restaurants, cafes and shops right outside your door. Yet, it somehow remains very quiet. Rooms are VERY small for the money — if you pull the chair out from the desk, you cannot pass. There is no place to really unpack your stuff. Although the room and hotel were kept clean, I arrived to find lots of hairs on my pillows and comforter. They gave me new ones, of course. Shower is very good. No way to make coffee/tea in the room, but you can pay for it downstairs. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you want to stay in Gamla Stan, this may be the best value spot, but you really don’t get a lot for your money — and I am used to staying in expensive cities, like New York and London, where space is also at a premium.
