Reichenau Island Romantic Vacations

I had an overall good stay at this property, but there are a few things future guests should know before booking. The location is excellent. There are several restaurants and places to eat nearby, a great supermarket right next door, and even a delicious ice cream shop within walking distance. The area is quiet, and the property was very clean. Since it operates more like an apartment-style accommodation, I rarely saw other guests, which made for a peaceful stay. Customer service was responsive when I needed assistance. On the fourth day, I requested fresh towels and additional Nespresso coffee capsules, and both were provided without any issues. There were, however, some drawbacks. The biggest one was the lack of traditional air conditioning. If you are used to hotels in the United States, be aware that the cooling system is very different. The room has a ventilation system, but it feels more like a fan than true air conditioning. During the summer, the room can become quite warm, especially at night. I strongly recommend bringing or purchasing a portable fan, as it made a significant difference in my ability to sleep comfortably. When I arrived, the door access code did not work, and I had to contact customer service for assistance. There were also a few occasions when hot water was unavailable, and the response was simply an apology for the inconvenience. Additionally, I noticed a few small insects in the room despite never opening the windows.

Breakfast was amazing but overall the beds the bathroom everything was clean and comfortable. I would stay again if we ever go back to Zurich

Room smelled. Of cigarettes. Complained to staff and they told us it doesn’t smell like cigarettes. Showed us another room, even worse. Don’t stay here

It is actually very off located. Room is standard. They got our breakfast charge wrong from the beginning to the end, although enventually it got fixed by the manager. I suggest you read your bill carefully on check out.

Our stay was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcome and truly special. We were celebrating our honeymoon, and the staff went above and beyond to make it a memory we’ll cherish forever. They surprised us with a beautiful bottle, upgraded us to a gorgeous room and the most touching gift of all was a handwritten letter signed by the entire team. That letter is something we will treasure forever it was the most beautiful keepsake from our honeymoon… just so thoughtful 💙 The kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care shown by everyone exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you for making such an important milestone in our lives even more magical. We can’t wait to come back! Everything was absolutely fantastic. I met one of the house keepers and I spoke to a several of staff members they were very helpful and polite. The only thing that needs adjusting is the door it would be nice if there’s a safety chain inside as I am a solo female traveler and things like this makes me feel safer. But overall it was a wonderful experience. Thanks to airport Zürich staff.

Noting old town, not much to do, but I am sure it would be busy in the winter

It was cheerful comfortable and location so convenient. Also love the outdoor walking park!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were comfortable and had a free minibar in room with water, soda, beer, peanuts and a chocolate. I forgot something in my room and staff went above and beyond to find and hold it for me until I returned to the city. Conveniently located with nearby shops, restaurants and dining. Walking path near by as well. Loved the loaner bag to use as I explored the city and other little touches. I only wish I had more time there!

This is a great place to stay. There is enough room for 6 people. Good air conditioning too which was appreciated. We were never hot. The property is serviced 3 times per week which is more than adequate. One of our party had a birthday and the staff left him a lovely letter and a snack. We did not have a car so can't comment on parking however the tram to the HB is only 100m away. Finally all the essentials were included with a great dishwasher and a combined washer and dryer. Just be aware that two beds are on another floor so this is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues but there were 4 beds on the ground floor of the flat. There is also a working lift. Highly recommended for a stay in Zurich.

Its a good hotel overall, just no Air conditioning, just be prepared if you’re traveling from the USA
