Burntisland Romantic Vacations

We had a premium king room. The room was about 3 feet bigger than the bed, no place to be other than in the bed. No in room coffee…I know but that’s how I function…but it was free downstairs. A digital heat/air system that had us baffled and cold. On the plus side it was in a quiet area, two blocks off Princess Street and 15 minutes walking from Dean Village.

Quiet location, bus stop is just outside the Pollock Halls grounds. Walking distance to the city. It is an old building, very charming and well maintained. However, there is no lift , staircases are narrow , getting help to bring luggage up can be a bit of of a wait. Overall, always a lovely stay.

We arrived at the hotel at 9 AM knowing we were very early for check in. We left our luggage with the woman at the desk and she helped us find a place nearby to have our laundry done. When we returned around 1:30, our room was ready. As a nice surprise, we were upgraded to a larger room.

Quaint boutique Hotel, great location and friendly staff

This hotel is easy to get to via the airport bus. We took the bus and a quick walk. (Great for value seekers). The hotel is super conveniently located. It was very easy to get around the city. It’s super close for walking and has many bus terminals nearby if needed. The staff here were so friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check our bags in early (we had a morning flight - so dropped them and headed out to the museum). We also were able to check in a bit early and get a solid nap before heading back out for the day. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean and quiet. There’s a pool (open 7:00-22:00) which is warm and clean and happened to conveniently be on our floor. The bed was comfortable- especially the pillows. There’s a safe and a mini fridge and a kettle. And I loved the bathroom - huge shower and a very helpful large shelf for all your bathroom supplies to sit. 10/10, would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

A perfect location to explore Edinburgh without being in the touristy and loud area. It is a beautiful hotel with absolutely wonderful staff. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. The room was very clean and the bedding very comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay, and should we return to Edinburgh, we will definitely stay here again. Cheers!

Nice location, beautiful building, great views, great staff.

The staff was nice. The rooms were cleaned daily but make sure to put the door sign on the door so they know to clean it. The attached restaurant was pretty good and staff was nice and helpful as well. The mattress on the bed was very hard and barely had any give to it. Bathrooms were a decent size. Our room was facing towards the back which ended up being very loud at night. You could hear people walking around and even hear their conversations. Friday night was probably the worst with outside noises with a rugby game going on across the street and people leaving the bars. In the early morning, we would get woke up with trash pick up or people getting in and out of their cars.

Very well maintained, super spacious, friendly staff (especially Victoria!). Excellent location. Food, shopping and historical sites all within walking distance. Would recommend to anyone!
