Sensui Island Pet-friendly Vacations

As a tourist, the hotel enjoys an excellent location, with all important sights, shops & restaurants just a few moments walk away. Staff were superb & exceptionally helpful. Cleanliness was typically Japanese - sparkling ! Should I ever return to Hiroshima, I'd stay in the same hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.

While the hotel staff was accommodating, my recent stay was severely impacted by pest and maintenance issues. My first two nights were pleasant, but I soon discovered a bug on my floor towel, followed by several more crawling in my bed the next morning. Although the staff promptly moved me to a new room and offered a complimentary breakfast, the incident left me highly anxious that pests had infested my personal belongings. Furthermore, the on-site washer and dryer did not function properly. After five hours in the dryer, my laundry was still completely wet. I ultimately had to hang my clothes and use a hair dryer to finish drying them.

Our room was dirty and the rooms are not modern. Old TV. Room is not comfortable.

Perfect for our quick stop over. Kyobashi Charcoal for dinner was amazing. Do yourself a favour and visit this gem.

This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station depending on the room you're staying in given you contact them at least three days in advance. Although our Shinkansen was unexpectedly delayed by two hours due to rain/lightning, they patiently waited for our arrival and did not leave us stranded. Perhaps the only downside was that we only stayed two nights as I felt we could've done with some more downtime and taking advantage of the amenities including the bikes and SUPs. I hope to return again soon, staying for a longer time next time. Thank you Marissa Resort for giving us an incredible and memorable vacation!
