Heimaey Mountain Vacations

The location of Mani Apartments is an A+. It's right in the heart of downtown Reykjavik on a pedestrian street, with shops, restaurants, bars, and just about anything else you could want within a few minutes' walk. Our particular apartment was on the 4th floor and had plenty of space for our family of five. There were two bedrooms with three beds, a kitchenette, dining table, and a large couch. The picture windows were probably the highlight of the apartment, with a magnificent view of the water and mountains. Did I mention it's close to the bars? That convenience does come with some noise, and it was fairly loud well into the night. They clearly know this is an issue because earplugs were provided on every pillow. Speaking of pillows, our king-size bed only had two small pillows, which was a little disappointing. The bathroom was adequate, although there appeared to be a mold issue on part of the ceiling. The hairdryer also didn't work, but I will give management credit—they had a replacement to us within about 10–15 minutes. The refrigerator was unplugged when we arrived for some reason, so I had to plug that in as well. Overall, I'd give it an **A+ for location, A+ for space, A+ for the view, and probably a B- for overall condition**. Some things were a little worn, and the bathroom could use some attention, but none of that outweighed the positives for us. Overall, it worked out great for our family. Excellent location overlooking the Harpa and harbor. Very close to center town and rainbow street. Great restaurants and shopping options nearby. The happy hour drinks were a nice perk and the rooms were small but comfortable. Shower mechanism is a bit old style but functional. FYI: directly across the street from the cruise shuttle drop off.

Great Location! Daily breakfast had a lot of variety.

Great walkable location nearby to restaurants (food hall with multiple restaurants across the walkway outside the hotel’s main doors) and shopping. Also, the concert hall was a 5 min walk away, which also had a bus stop to easily catch any buses/shuttles to booked activities. Overall, it was a great location, tidy and well kept hotel with superb customer service.
