Bulgaria Mountain Vacations

The amenities are great with some weird kinks. For example - the light switch for the bathrooms is behind the door on the outside of the bathroom so if you open the door you can't effectively reach for the light. You have to turn the light on before opening the door. The bath tub is incredibly high. If you have weak knees or osteoporosis or arthritis, getting over the tub wall to use the shower is a challenge. Speaking of shower - the mixer that turns it on and off is so complicated that it should come with an instruction manual. And yes, this is probably my 40th or 50th visit in this hotel in the span of the last few months. One notable thing about this hotel is that it has the best smelling towels and sheets I've ever used, world wide. While most hotels opt out for unscented detergents, this hotel dares to use a very fresh, gentle scent that makes the towels and the sheets smell awesome.

The location was unbeatable, very near the centre and the main Serdica metro station. The room was well furnished and spacious. A good gym and sauna. The breakfast was fabulous with all the usual things plus lots of Greek savouries and sweets. There isn't really anything to fault the Central Hotel. We would go back in a heart beat.

We had a good time staying in this hotel. Location is close and walkable to the tourist spots. The room is spacious and clean, bed is very comfortable. Staff are very helpful, we arrive early and they check us in with the room upgrade. We will be staying in this hotel when we visit Sofia, Bulgaria again someday. Highly recommended. Excellent location but breakfast could use a little changing or it becomes repetitive

Excellent hotel, very clean and good location if driving. Free parking included and took about 20 minutes to drive to the airport. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent. Close to metro station to travel in to the centre. Spa facilities were excellent and offers great sport massage. Would stay here again
