What an absolutely terrible experience. I do not write reviews, but this deserves warning to other potentials guests. I’ll spare the gritty details, but after a flight cancelation, audible to a 4 hour train to get back to Lisbon so we could fly out the next day, I needed a quick 1 night stay option for my wife and kids after a brutal travel day. I booked this place because the room set up looked more family friendly for kids to go down to sleep first, and still give us ability to repack. They put all the “check-in” in the fine print. They send you a link (not right away) and you have to provide all your passport info. Then when you tell them when you are checking in they send a “payment link” for the local taxes and deposit. The work did not work. They sent another link, that link did not work. I continued to call, and they provided “bank information” and said I needed to provide proof of bank transaction before they would provide check in codes. At this point we are in the lobby for 30 minutes just trying to find any option to pay the deposit since the links they provided did not work and there was no way to make a wire/transfer from my countries bank based on the info they provided. I offered to provide credit card info, or whatever they needed. They said they would send an agent to perform the transaction, but it would take 30 more minutes. Then 2 minutes later said they worry not sending an agent. I believe this is a scam, to not allow you check in. Stay far away.

The room itself is beautiful (so white, spacious and full of storage). Check-in was slightly unclear but the host was super helpful. The location was ok: convenient for buses but not exactly at the heart of the action. Still, a great place that I would recommend.

Clean quiet stylish and great location

Excellent Location

We were very happy with our stay. The room was clean and very nice, and even though we were on the 1st floor the room was blissfully quiet! I would definitely recommend it, especially if you are doing an airport arrival or departure. The metro was one block away for easy access to other train and trolly lines.

It’s our second time at 138 Liberdade and we loved it. The staff is all nice and helpful, the restaurant is excellent. We’ll be back!

This is an excellent hotel all around. The location is excellent with good proximity to old town. The breakfast is amazing, the staff are lovely and room are very clean and well appointed. The spa floor is small with a refreshing pool and small gym but completely fine for a stay that is focused on exploring. We would definitely stay here again.

I had a lovely stay at Art Legacy Hotel. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. The customer service was exceptional, and everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and valued. All staff who worked in reception were brilliant. As a solo traveller they equally helped me navigate around Lisbon and tours. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would happily stay at Art Legacy Hotel again. Highly recommended!

Phenomenal breakfast selection. Attentive staff. Rooms were spotless and made picture perfect every day. If I had to complain, which I don't often do, it was the 9 euro small draft beer at the pool bar. Not a fan.
