The perfect resort to do absolutely nothing and rest

The good: - Friendly and welcoming staff. - Great views around the property and accessibility to the ocean. - Kids club and many activities for them. - Swimming pool and bar. - Well equipped gym. The bad: - The room needed a makeover. It was antiquated and there wasn't enough lighting, needed new fixtures. - The wifi coverage was extremely poor and was barely available in certain areas around the resort. - Drinking water bottles weren't provided and had to be purchased or filled from the bar. - The staff were overworked and the fatigue was visible in their service. - The buffet food options were repetitive, bland and underwhelming at times. - There weren't many options for indoor/ outdoor games for adults. - At one point it seemed that the resort wasn't prepared or well equipped to accommodate or facilitate a high footfall of guests. - The coral and sunset cruises were disappointing.

The resort needs more daytime entertainment. More atmosphere eg…. Singers during the day, activities by the pool.

I wouldn't stay here again. The first room we were allocated was dark & far away & had a view of a small wall & not much else. The second room we had was better, but our neighbours had kids who screamed all night long for 2 nights in a row (and the parents didn't seem to care) & the resort weren't that phased about assisting. The food was ok, but not worth the price considering we changed to another resort in Nadi & it was $5 less per person at the buffet & had way more options and much higher quality. We ordered room service one night & it took over and hour & two phone calls to follow up (for bottled water and sprite) - it seems their ordering app doesn't actually tell the staff you've ordered? The front desk were also pretty gruff that night. Pool/bar were good, and the staff were by far the strongest part of the resort - they were all friendly and attentive. I just didn't feel this stay was worth the money we paid, especially considering you're paying $65 each time you leave the resort to go anywhere and $65 to come back as it's far from most amenities and you're paying tourist prices to travel. Aside from the pool and the bar, there's not much of anything to do at the resort so you most likely will want to leave if you want to do anything other than swim or drink or nap. We ended up leaving midway through our booking (giving up three paid nights at DT by choice) and were much happier at the next resort - I didn't feel the DoubleTree hit the mark we were expecting.

We booked 2 rooms, room 497 was condensing when we checked in, informed receptionist and was fixed by their electrician around evening time. Room 498 power went off at around 4am, i thought it was the whole hotel, but when i went at around 6.30am to my daughter's room then found out their's was working. So called them again, man came to fix and left after 10mins it stopped working again, he came back and fixed it and it was all good. Staffs were good, friendly and very welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and thank you for the late check out. But overall it was an awesome 1day stay.
