Felt like I was staying at a much more expensive place. It was clean, located centrally to everything, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was totally worth it and you had everything you needed. Definitely a good choice when in town.

The hotel is quite far from everything. There is a public bus that goes from downtown to the hotel, but it stops running quite early in the evening (8pm) and starts quite late in the morning. You might need to have dinner at the hotel but very pricey, or walk the remaining 20min from the tram station to the hotel. There is a speed boat to go to miyamija from the hotel, buts it’s a private company, with the price that goes with it. The hotel in itself is quite impressive in size. The rooms are a bit outdated, especially the bathroom. The view from the room is outstanding though. The various breakfast possibilities are great but the buffet is overwhelmingly packed with loud people and food is average. Note that the beach at the bottom of the hotel is closed and accessing the hotel pool is with a fee (3,500¥). No sign of laundry on the facility, didn’t ask though. If we knew all of that, we would have selected a hotel more central to Hiroshima.

This is an amazing hotel with a spectacular view from your room if you have a sea-view room. The island of Miyajima is a beautiful place and this hotel compliments its beauty with traditional Japanese architecture and furniture wile also offering the most very modern facilities for your comfort and relaxation while staying there. We had lounge access and the was great for snacks and afternoon/evening drinks. The dinner was exceptional with a five course meal that totally satisfied our varied palettes. The rooms are big and spacious with a strong traditional Japanese twist. And the beds were some of the most comfortable we had slept in on our many travels. The staff were just amazing also. So attentive and helpful. This is a gem of a hotel in the beautiful island of Miyajima. Added bonus is that the water gate structure is just a stone throw away. Would highly recommend.
