Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was very nice and helpful. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Short walk to the bus that can take you to Volendam or Amsterdam within 20 minutes

Excellence service and view

The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The environmental aspect and pride employees who represent of Park Places show is apparent and helps guests acclimate and enjoy Amsterdam, Vondelpark area in particular. You can walk to hub communities, pick up a bike from the hotel and ride the park, and pick up the #2 Tram to the canals easily from the hotel.

We had a great time, wonderful location. The only issue with had was noise, not traffic noise but people in the hallways or alley through out the night and early morning. - if you are a light sleeper, this will will be an issue.

A sweet gal at the front desk wrote a list of her favorite places in the city and dropped it in our room. The stay was wonderful

We had such a wonderful stay that we even decided to extend it. The hotel is peaceful, very comfortable, and the atmosphere is so friendly it felt like home. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent! Everything was delicious, especially the tomato tartare. Breakfast was also over the top, absolutely yummy! When we were looking to book, we noticed the hotel was a bit outside the city, but once we got there we realized it was an easy 10-15 min uber ride into the busy city center. Honestly, that was a big part of the charm. The peace and quiet, plus the amazing water view, made it totally worth it. It’s the kind of place where you just slow down, relax, and really enjoy. We’ll definitely be back!

This was hands down the nicest hotel I have ever stayed out.

One of the best hotels we have stayed Anywhere in Europe. The staff were amazing as were the rooms. They were very helpful with everything we needed or asked for. The accommodations were roomy and very comfortable. If traveling to Amsterdam, I highly recommend Hotel 717 !!!
