Wood Valley Luxury Vacations

The rooms are clean and have amazing decor and wood work.

Room was clean and we had a suite which was very nice. the main restaurant canoe house was great as well as the Mediterranean one. The pool restaurant /shack has chicken fingers which weee too hard. I’d skip the luau. We paid $700 for 3 of us and it was at th parking garage at the back of the property not he beach as I thought initially whe the friend we were traveling with suggested it. Note to self to research myself. The beach was overcrowded due to it being spring break and we couldn’t get chairs if we went in the afternoon because people would leave their things in the chairs. The staff said there was a wait list and at one point we had to wait uber half an hour to get chairs even though some looked unoccupied. Kids club was great and educational activities. Because my daughter is younger than 5 I stayed with her. Overall a good experience but they should try to make sure paying guests aren’t waiting for beach and pool chairs during peak season.

Good clean spacious living. Shower was broken, but management addressed that. Relatively affordable for Waikoloa.

When I arrived, the AC was blasting. I called the concierge and an engineer came, took the cover off the thermostat and change some settings. After that, when the AC came on, it ran at a lower speed. Still somewhat annoying, but less so. Also, I found it surprising how skimpy the toilet paper and the kleenex were, considering it's supposed to be a 4-5 star resort. I thought the music playing by the pool area was way too loud. I did find the breakfast menu food was excellent!!

An incredible property with abysmal food and sub par service. Kona Village is magical - the grounds, the hales (rooms), the spa, the yoga, the bikes to ride around the property and the stunning beach. But such a magical 5 star resort should also offer excellent cuisine and hospitality. We were shocked by the inconsistent food, the lack of variety and the room service which was never correct and delivered uncovered. We were so excited to return to our beloved Kona Village after 16 years but were left very disappointed. Unless something dramatic changes with the management we shall not return.
