Spain Honeymoon Vacations

Grums Hotel & Spa, Barcelona – Our Pre-Cruise Experience We stayed at Grums Hotel & Spa for two nights before joining our cruise. Some of the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, other aspects of our stay were disappointing. We paid €40 for an early check-in and were then advised that an additional 30 minutes at checkout would cost another €20. Having travelled extensively over many years, we felt these charges were excessive, particularly for such a small extension. Our biggest disappointment was the considerable street noise throughout both nights. Despite the windows being closed, we could hear car horns, shouting, loud vehicle backfiring and sirens. On our second night, the disturbances continued beyond 3:25 am, making a peaceful night’s sleep almost impossible. We appreciate the hotel cannot control outside noise, but combined with the additional charges and lack of flexibility, it certainly affected our experience. Would we stay again? Unfortunately, probably not.

Excellent breakfast and rooftop bar. Lovely and helpful staff.

Amazing views

Excellent breakfast and rooftop bar. Lovely and helpful staff.
