Excellent location, friedenly staff

Bit louder during the night, but nothing ear plugs can't solve :)

Everything was very nice except these few unique European things - not all European things are bad, many are great, but these irritate this American and most of the friends that traveled with us. Before I list the minor issues, I will repeat the staff were great; very friendly and helpful. The place was clean. We felt welcome and safe. Great job everyone! There was no sheet, just a quilt in a linen bag. I get it, the bag mean washing one thing (just a sheet/bag) versus two things (sheet/bag and quilt). However, there is only one layer to pull on or throw off. That makes for a restless night's sleep. There is no control of temperature. Yes, there is a thermostat on the wall, but it does nothing. The room was not unbearable, but it was uncomfortably warm. Lastly, the coffee situation is a pet peeve. I love espresso, even more than American coffee. That said, I drink a lot of American coffee. Another cup or 2 of espresso, or an Americano, would be nice.

Great location

A wonderful stay in Munich This was my first stay at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski München, and it will now be my go-to stay in Munich. The location in the center of the City is fantastic. The hotel has a wonderful combination of old-world elegance and modern comfort. What I appreciated most was the exceptional service. Everyone I encountered was friendly, gracious, and genuinely interested in making my stay enjoyable. I especially want to call-out Aires at Reception. The attention to detail really made a difference. This is fully driven from the top-down by the GM, Holger, who I had the pleasure of meeting through a friend who lives part-time in Munich. And there is a cigar lounge for guests - with floor to ceiling filtration! While I did not have time for the spa, it is one of the top spas in Munich. My room was beautiful, comfortable, clean, modern and quiet, and the entire hotel has a warm, sophisticated atmosphere. It was also a pleasure simply coming back to the hotel after being out for meetings and hosting clients during Oktoberfest! Overall, this was a memorable stay, and I would very happily stay here again on my next visit to Munich. A truly special hotel and an experience I would highly recommend.
